NOW!!

Wife, Mom, Writer, Speaker

and lover of chocolate . . .

Thank you for visiting my blog. I am glad you stopped by. I am a writer and lover of God’s word even more than chocolate! It excites me to share stories of how others are living with passion for Christ. I find great joy in digging up treasures from God’s word.

About six years ago God pressed on my heart the desire for revival in my life and in our nation. As I look around the different churches that I have attended where I live, and when I go back home to visit I see people missing the passion in their lives. Revival begins with me and you seeking God.

It is my desire through my blog, the Bible Study I am writing, and my speaking ministry to encourage you to walk closer to God. Dig deeper in your faith. Pray in earnest daily for God to teach you His ways, and serve Him right where you live and work now.

Psalm 90:12 sums this plan very well.

“Teach us to realize the brevity of life,

so that we may grow in wisdom.” [NLT]

Life is too short to float along with no direction or passion. Do you have a passion for something? Are you pursuing it or do you feel it is to big for you? The bigger your dream and passion the more God’s power is revealed!

You may need to find your passion. Come today to be encouraged and inspired to grow in intimate friendship with God, pray for exciting adventures every day, and serve Him where you are now.

I will post two times a week. To make sure you don’t miss my post, you can subscribe  email.

Joyce on the Personal Side

My Journey. . .

I am on an amazing journey with my Heavenly Father. It all began with an honest prayer and desire to do His will. I was working for New York Life Insurance Company and not making the progress I had hoped as an agent. So in January of 2010, I began, in earnest, seeking God’s wisdom. I wasn’t sure if I was on the right path or not.

After six months of many intense prayers and lots of tears, God started revealing His plan for me. Over the past two years, He revealed His exciting plan more clearly, I found a path I never dreamed of before. I now have a passionate purpose in my heart that He is unfolding in my life. Part of what He revealed is to write a Bible Study about Grow, Pray, Serve, and to complete my undergraduate degree in English.

As God continued to work in me, I started a blog in 2011 to share the love of God and our exciting journey together. I am so glad you have joined me.

Before trying my hand as an insurance agent, I was an interior designer for nine years. I learned so much about me, people, interior design and running a small business during that time. I made many mistakes and found courage in taking risk and trying new and different things.

God has blessed the broken road that I have been on to bring me to this place of writing and speaking for HIM. I have known in my heart for some time that God had great plans for me. I had a hard time finding my way. I finally stopped long enough and really listened. What a difference that has made in my life!

Walking with Christ has been the most exciting and exhilarating ride of my life! You never know who or what He is going to bring your way! Don’t let me mislead you. It has been trying at times, and I know I have many more trials along my way.

I was raised in Marietta, Ga. I have been married to Kerry Glass for twenty-five years. We have one awesome teenage son, and two precious dogs! Maggie is my sweet girl and my Mother’s Day gift in 2006. You will find her in some pictures with me. We all live way down in Albany, GA.

In the few moments I have for fun I read, keep up to date with my friends and family on Facebook and Twitter, indulge in chocolate of some form, and I exercise so I can eat chocolate. If it wasn’t so healthy for you, I would skip exercising.

I am an active member of First Baptist Albany in Leesburg, GA. Yes, you read that correctly. I grew up in the Baptist church, but I am a follower of Christ not religious rituals. Meaning I do things, because I love Jesus not out of obligation.
